Driveway transformation

Just wrapped up this driveway that hadn't been cleaned in years. Used a surface cleaner for the flat work and a soft wash on the house. The difference is night and day. Homeowners: if your driveway looks like this, a pressure wash can add serious curb appeal before you list. [Share your before/after photos here]

Deck restoration

Restored this deck last week. It was covered in green algae and the homeowner thought it needed replacing. After a good wash and re-seal, it looks brand new. Saved them thousands vs. a full replacement. If your deck is slippery or green, it probably just needs a professional wash, not a rebuild. [Share your before/after photos here]

House wash result

This house hadn't been washed in 8+ years. The siding was completely green on the north side. Soft wash, no high pressure, and about 3 hours of work. The homeowner couldn't believe it was the same house. If you're putting off getting your house washed, it's one of the cheapest things you can do to make your home look new again. How to price your jobs

A question I see a lot: "How do you price your jobs?" I used to price by the hour and kept losing money on jobs that took longer than expected. Now I price by the job based on square footage and condition. Three things I factor in: 1. Size of the area 2. Level of buildup / staining 3. Access (ladders, steep slopes, tight spaces) Quote the job, not the hour. The customer doesn't care how long it takes — they care about the result.

The 24-hour follow-up rule

The single biggest change I made to my business: following up on every quote within 24 hours. I used to send quotes and wait. Half the time, the customer went with whoever responded first — not necessarily the cheapest. Now I send the quote, then follow up the next day with a quick text: "Hey, did you get a chance to review the quote? Happy to answer any questions." My close rate went from maybe 30% to over 60%. It's that simple.

The habit that doubled my revenue

One habit that doubled my revenue this year: tracking every job, quote, and payment. I used to run everything from memory and a notebook. I had no idea which services were most profitable, which customers always paid late, or how much I was actually making per month. Once I started tracking it all in one place, I could see: my house washes were my most profitable service, and I had three customers who always paid 30+ days late. You can't improve what you don't measure.

Getting repeat customers

Repeat customers are worth 5x more than new ones — and they're way less work. Here's what I do to keep them coming back: 1. Log every job so I know when they're due for another service 2. Send a quick text 2 weeks before they'll need it: "Your driveway is probably due for a refresh — want me to get you on the schedule?" 3. Track their preferences and notes so I don't have to ask the same questions again Most of my revenue now comes from customers I've serviced 3+ times this year.

Community Intro

Genuine, non-salesy ways to mention Operio when the topic comes up naturally.

Genuine introduction

Hey everyone, I've been in the pressure washing business for about 5 years now. Started solo and learned a lot the hard way. I used to juggle a notebook, a spreadsheet, and my memory to track quotes, jobs, and who owed me money. It was a mess. I ended up building a simple app to manage it all — quotes, scheduling, invoices, payments, customer history. It's called Operio. It's free to start if anyone wants to check it out (link in bio). Happy to answer any questions about the business or the app.

What I use to run my business

Someone asked what I use to run my pressure washing business, so here's my stack: • Operio — for quotes, jobs, invoices, and payments (this is the app I built, free plan works fine to start) • Google Maps — for measuring driveways and estimating job size • A basic pressure washer + surface cleaner • Stripe — for the occasional card payment That's it. I tried Jobber and ServiceTitan but they were either too complex or too expensive for a solo operator. Operio is simple and $0 to start.

What app do you recommend?

I see this question come up a lot, so I'll share what works for me. I tried a bunch of options and most were either too expensive (ServiceTitan) or too complex for a one-person operation (Jobber). I actually built my own app called Operio because nothing fit. It does quotes, scheduling, invoices, payments, and customer tracking — all from my phone. Free plan covers up to 25 customers. No pressure, just sharing what works for me. Link in bio if you want to try it.

How to use these posts

  • • Spend 2 weeks helping in the group before ever posting about your business or Operio.
  • • Put your Operio link in your profile bio, not in the post itself. Most groups ban self-promo links.
  • • Customize the posts with your own stories, numbers, and photos. Authenticity beats copy-paste.
  • • Engage with replies — answer questions genuinely. That's where trust is built.
